A library planned for how people actually use one — some read alone

for four hours, some come in for twenty minutes, some come to sit with

other people. The section separates those by noise rather than by

floor, so the quiet reading volume sits away from circulation while

the entry level stays social. Daylight is brought in high and bounced,

keeping glare off the page and books off direct sun. Stack layout

allows for collection growth without replanning the floor.
